So how did we become wedding photographers? It's an adventure that started over a decade ago. The time line goes something like this...
13 years ago, in freshman English, Nathan and I found ourselves becoming very close friends.
12 years ago, at the Bluff View Art District, we ventured out on our first date.
11 years ago, in the the front room of my grandparents "old house", Nathan asked me to marry him.
10 years ago, in a little country church in Weaverville, NC, we pledged our love and our lives to one another.
9 years ago, as a result of one of the worst wedding photography experiences imaginable, we bought our first "real" camera.... and we read, and we practiced, and we learned.
8 years ago, with equal parts nervousness and excitement, Nathan photographed his first wedding. A few months later, we photographed our first wedding as a team. And then we photographed another... and another... and another. Suddenly, we found ourselves in business as wedding photographers.
Today, after 8 years of photographing weddings together, we still prepare for a wedding day with equal parts nervousness and excitement. Every wedding is still an adventure, and every bride and groom is still a potential new friend. After 8 years of photographing weddings together, we still cherish the process of cultivating relationships with our clients, learning about their love, and capturing that love on one of the most important days of their lives.
